Remote Monitoring

Eliminating the need for wired downloads, remote monitoring uses wireless transmission of machine condition to monitor all health information at a central office location. It enables office-based service managers to monitor the on-board systems of a single machine (or many machines at once) from a safe distance, around the clock.

Using office systems or Cat® resources for analysis, mine managers can then direct service operations.

They can alert field and shop technicians about what assets need servicing and when, and what procedures should be scheduled. That way, a given machine can be pulled in for service when downtime will cause the least disruption in production. Plus, parts can be ordered in advance so the shop can have them on hand when assets come in, reducing service downtime and helping to maximize equipment availability.
